JIS cast steel gate valve is a kind of gate valve which is mainly made of cast steel according to the valve standards and specifications of JAS - the Japanese Standards Association. JIS cast steel gate valves are available in a complete range of body/bonnet materials and trim. body/bonnet materials include nine grades of carbon, low alloy and stainless steels. For special applications, JIS cast steel gate valve can be supplied in other grades of alloy and stainless steel. As for the design ranges of JIS cast steel gate valve, it is from 1/2 inch to 36 inches (DN15mm - DN900mm). The nominal pressure that JIS cast steel gate valves can stand is from ANSI class 150 to 2500 (PN1.6 - 42MPa). There are a lot of driving styles about JIS cast steel gate valves, such as manual, electric, conical gear, pneumatic.

Valves with class 150lb & 300lb ratings in sizes up to 300m are normally handwheel operated. Sizes 350mm and above in class 150lb & 300lb ratings are gear operated.
