Grooved butterfly valves benefit the industrial process with the economical, efficient and reliable services. Generally speaking, the grooved butterfly valves are ideally suited for use in mechanical rooms, process lines, condenser water lines, demineralized water lines and chilled and hot water lines. Grooved butterfly valves consist of valve body, disc and stem and so on. The valve body can be manufactured from the epoxy coated ductile iron. And the disc can be made of the encapsulated ductile iron disc. The stainless steel is widely applied to manufacture the other components.

As the rugged ductile iron body is epoxy coated on all wetted surfaces and all surfaces exposed to the atmosphere, both the internal and external corrosion protection can be reached. Besides, the encapsulation on the disc provides protection from chemical attack and erosion and also forms a bubble tight seal against the inside wall of the valve. Or it can be said that the disc is designed to minimize turbulence and maximize good flow characteristics as well as provide positive sealing, protection against erosion and corrosion, and low sealing torque.

Moreover, the grooved butterfly valves are available with various operating modes. The manual or gear operators as well as electric, pneumatic and hydraulic actuators are all appreciated.
