A two piece floating ball valve is a floating ball valve with bolted 2-piece construction. The two piece floating ball valve is made up of body, gasket, bonnet, nut, stud, seat, ball, stem, gasket, antistatic device, packing, screw, back stop and stopper plate. The main materials are 304 stainless steel, 316 stainless steel cast steel, carbon steel and ASTM A216 WCB. The size of the two piece floating ball valve ranges from 2"-24". As for the pressure rating, it is from Class 150-1500. The two piece floating ball valve’s design and manufacture standards are API 6D, BS5351 and ASME B16.34. The face to face is ASTM/ANSI B16.10. The flange standards of the two piece floating ball valve are ANSI B16.5. It is applicable to industry such as urban construction, chemical, metallurgy, oil, pharmaceutical, food, beverage, environmental protection. The two piece floating ball valves are designed to support the ball on two seats located on up-stream and down-stream sides. They are generally used in small bore piping or low pressure clean service.

Two piece floating ball valve, as one kind of floating ball valves, has the features of the floating ball valves. Firstly, it can prevent the misuse of the handle. Secondly, it has the locking mechanism. The fully open and fully closed position can be controlled via the lock device, avoiding the disoperation caused by non-professional worker. With the locking device, we also can prevent accidents caused by vibration of the pipeline or unpredictable factors. Especially for pipelines of explosive oil, chemicals, etc., or the field piping occasions, the lock device plays a more effective role. Thirdly, the two piece floating ball valve has the anti-fly stem shroud. Last but not least, it has the valve sealing structure without leakage. The connection part between valve and valve side is sealed by gasket. Factors such as fire, high temperature, vibration and unequal torque when close or open the valve, all these can result in the external leakage.  In addition to relying on sealing gasket, the special floating ball valve is featured by the special design of metal-metal sealing, ensuring no leakage.
