Globe valve experiences a bright development in the blooming valve industry. The globe valve has given the name by the spherical body shape with the two halves of the body being separated by an internal baffle, even though most of the current globe valves do not hold the spherical shape. As a result, for the globe valves which such an internal mechanism in plumbing system, they are generally called the stop valve. No matter what, both of them are making contributions to the pipelines during the industrial process or the daily life.

Generally speaking, a globe valve is a type of valve used for regulating flow in a pipeline, consisting of a movable disk-type element and a stationary ring seat in a generally spherical body. Depending on the different operating modes, the globe valves can be operated manually or run automatically. For some globe valves, the plug is connected to a stem which is operated by screw action in manual valves. And in terms of the automated globe valves, they generally have a smooth stem rather than threaded and are opened and closed by an actuator assembly. In fact, globe valves are widely used for the frequent throttling. It is unwise to do it all by labor force, even impossible in some applications. They can be used as either shut-off valve or the throttling valves.
