A ball valve is a valve with a spherical disc, the part of the valve which controls the flow through it. Ball valves are durable and usually work to achieve perfect shutoff even after years of disuse. They do not offer the fine control that may be necessary in throttling applications but are sometimes used for this purpose.

Gear ball valve is one type of ball valve, its features can be shown as follow:
1．Size:  Full bore & Regular bore DN15 (1/2”) ~ DN 1,400 (56”) .
2．Pressure Rating:  ANSI Class 150 ~ 300, PN 16 ~ 50 .
3．Working Temperature : -29℃(-20℉) ~ +200℃(392℉) .
4．Service: Gas(LNG/LPG), Oil, DH Hot Water, Steam, Petrochemical etc.
5. Operator:  Lever, Gear, Pneumatic, Electrical actuator.
6. Main Characteristics: it has One-piece welded body & end-piece connection pipe, and bubble tight excellent sealing with carbon-reinforced PTFE (Teflon) seats. Its pre-loaded seat springs ensure leak-tight at low pressure and reduce valve operational torque. Anti blow-out stem is according to international standards. It’s double O-rings ensure the stem sealing and can be replaced. Stem dry bearing, metal with PTFE coating having self-lubricating capabilities need no additional lubricant.
7. Material: Its body use Carbon Steel ST37, A106-B, STPG 370, A105, ASTM A516-60,Stainless Steel 304 or 316, and the ball is usually made of Stainless Steel 304 or 316 grade .Seat: PTFE, carbon-reinforced PTFE, Nylon, Peek
