A flanged floating ball valve is a floating ball valve that utilizes a flang to connnet different parts togather. A flange is an external or internal rib, or rim, for strength, as the flange of an iron beam or I-beam ,or a T-beam; or for a guide, as the flange of a train wheel; or for attachment to another object, as the flange on the end of a pipe, steam cylinder, etc, or on the lens mount of a camera. Pipes can be assembled or disassembled easily, by using flanges.

A flanged floating ball valve as it is a floating ball valve,it is a valve with its ball floating inside the valve body, while a trunnion ball valve is fixed on its valve seat. It drifts toward to the downstream side and tightly pushes against the seat under the medium pressure to guarantee sealing reliability. The floating ball valve has simple structure, good sealing performance, however, the seat material is required to withstand the workload since the sealing pressure is exposed by the seat ring. Floating ball valve is mainly used in middle or low pressure working conditions, as it has unavailability of high performance seat material.
