Instrument Valve

An instrument valve is used for isolation of pressure gauges, orifice plates, flush rings, and various measurement instruments. The instrument valve normally “lives” in the open position and is closed only to isolate the instrument for service or replacement. 

Available in a wide range of materials and pressure ratings, each instrument valve incorporates: non-rotating tip to provide positive, bubble-tight seal, metal to metal body/bonnet seal, low operating torque, stem packing below actuating thread with options for PTFE ( 240°C) or graphoil ( 500°C). An instrument valve comprises a valve body, a valve rod, a valve clack, a valve seat and a valve cover, wherein the valve rod is arranged in the valve seat through the valve cover, the valve clack is arranged between the valve rod and the valve body and is used for opening or closing the valve. The instrument valve is characterized in that the valve clack is a semispherical valve clack with a plane which contacts with the valve rod. Compared with the prior art, the instrument valve is provided with the semispherical valve clack with the plane between the valve rod and the valve body so that the contact of the valve clack and the valve rod is changed from point contact to surface contact, thus in the process of repeated use, the valve only generates radial motion without generating irregular rotations even the valve is under double actions of revolving force and radial force, and the pressure marks on the valve rod and the valve clack is always only one and is not changed, and thus the leakage is not easy to generate and the service life of the valve is well improved.
