The 3-way plug valve is used to give years of trouble-free operation.This manual willprovide you with the informationto property install and maintain the valve to ensure a long service life.The valve is 360 degree, resilient seated plug valve with three seats and is capable of handlng any types of fluids including fluids witj suspendsed solids.The size, cold working pressure(CWP), actuator rating, and model No. are stamped on the nameplate for reference. And the cold working pressure is the non-shock pressure rating of the valveshutoff with pressure pushing theplug into the three seats.

The followings are the descriptions about its construnction. This plug valve is made up of eugged cast ductile iron with a welded nickel seat and permanentllubrincated stainless steel bearings.The body has 3-way flanged ends for connection to the pipeline.The valve is used to remove the cast cover.The plug has integral shafts which is guided by sleev bearings located in the cover and lower boss in the body.Grit-Guad seals are located at the bottom of the bearings to stop adbrasive material from wearing the bearing. Leak-tight closure is produced as the rubber coated plug is rotated into one of the nickel seats.

There are some information about operation of the 3-way plug valve. The valve contains a body and a tapered plug thatpivots 360 degress in the body.Three nickel seats are provided so that the plug can seal off any of the three pipe connections while seat is tapered to offer adjustable seatinterference and tight shutoff service. The molded rubber plug sealing surface also contains raised o-ring tyoe seaking surface to offer superior sealing and low operating torque.The valve sealsdrop-tight at the full rating in the direct pressured direction.
